Fuzzy Duck

Fuzzy duck is a creative studio based in media city uk in salford. They are a collective of designers, film makers, web developers, illustrators, animators and story tellers who will call upon some or all of these strengths to forge the best creative solutions for their clients. This is good as it shows the variety of studies involved in their studio which is what is usually incorporated into creative companies working in advertising etc.

How they introduce themselves on their website:

"Our job is to challenge our clients with different, it’s our client’s job to reign us back in, if they feel it’s too different. We specialise in a complete offering of internal, external and B2B communications, and take time to understand your brand and your business. We also have a strong presence in the UK heritage and exhibition industry to produce awe inspiring, interactive experiences. The line between big business and museums may seem a faint one, but it’s really quite simple…both need their stories told, and we love to tell a good tale.

Using film and animation alongside e-learning and literature, beautifully designed to communicate your message clearly.

When the job is right for us (or we feel that we are right for the job) we will flex our commercial muscles and can boast of a suite of successful, creative campaigns."

They do not specify that they are in need of new employees however on their contact us section they do state that if you are interested in working with them to send in some work for them to see and to get in touch with them which is encouraging. However this means that they have not specified what requirements employees need like some of the other studios i have researched have done such as need to know after effects etc.

The work they produce has a varied array of methods such as

Dudley Zoological Gardens look after some of the worlds rarest creatures but we decided to go one step further with the Genesplicer interactive we produced for exhibition consultants Leach. Playing the role of a mad scientist, visitors can choose from 11 different animals and splice their genes together to create a new, improved and extremely strange species.

An animated, rotating double-helix adds movement while the creepy, atmospheric soundscape of bubbling concoctions creates a suitable background for the dastardly creations. Camodiles, Giringos, Tiguins and Crocotans can all be concocted in the laboratory and let loose by emailing your creation and sharing it with friends.

Dudley Zoo’s 2015 Easter break saw record attendances, with the attraction topping 20,000 visitors over the seven-day period. Zoo Director, Derek Grove, said “the bumper figures were a result of the opening of a new £250,000 interactive exhibit. The feedback we’ve had on Castle Creatures has been incredible.”
